i am new to skype, i only used it to talk to my father.

one time, one moroccan lady called and i missed it, so i sent her a chat message asking her who she was. the next time i turned on my laptop, my skype automatically logged me in, and then this moroccan lady called again. i was hesitant to answer the call since i don’t pick up calls from a stranger unless it’s my mobile phone they’re calling.

But out of curiosity and extreme boredom (since i was left locked up in the flat, all the other people in the house left, and having my keys lost, i got nothing else to do but wander around the house and the cyberspace), i answered the call. she had a pretty voice. i started the conversation by asking who she was, and she said, “no speak english”, and explained in broken english with little french that she only speaks frances (french) and arabic. she asked if i spoke french or arabic, i said “la” (means no in english), she laughed thinking how could i not know arabic when i answered her in arabic. So i told her i speak a little arabic (shuay shuay). she  asked if i was emirati (UAE citizen), and i answered “la… ana filipini” (No, I am filipino). she asked back “oh… inta filipini?” … “aiwa” i answered. then she said again in arabic that she doesn’t speak english, that she only speaks arabic and french, so i told her “ok, i’ll learn arabic and/or french, then i will talk to you again”. she said “ok, bye”, then she ended the call.
